All of you that were at the Rock Out on May 1st witnessed something rare and special, Zinny Zan and Stixx formerly of Shotgun Messiah joined the stage for the first time in 20 years with Chris Laney and rocked three Shotgun Messiah classics, it was so amazing to see…As a kid this band was my absolute favorite band, i still think their debut album is one of the best coming out of sweden in this genre. So a couple of hours ago i got a text message from Zinny asking if i had room for him doing a couple of songs on September 10 and that this would be his LAST performance …So i am REALLY honored to confirm that Zinny will do a couple of his classics together with Chris Laney! My idea with Stockholm Rock Out from day 1 has been that we are gonna give something special to the fans, things you dont see everywhere else and things you might not expect. And this really is one of those moments, this is soemthing a true rockfan shouldnt miss, i wanna be frontrow of this show! Thats all folks, wish you all a rockin and lovin friday! I Raise my glas for you Zinny and listen to this classic song “Dont care bout nothing”. Cheers! /Chris

Stockholm Rock Out Part 2 – Running Order

Hi everybody!

This is my first blog post so I thought I’d take the opportunity to tell you a little about my involvement with Stockholm Rock Out. My name is Christian Wallin and I’m a graphic artist and illustrator. Sometime late last year Chris got in touch with me about making a logo for a festival he was planning. I was excited to work on the logo although I never anticipated just how big an event the festival would be. We came up with the Rock Out-girl and from there on I’ve been in charge of a lot of the graphics for the festival. I can’t tell you how thrilling it’s been to watch the line-up grow over the last couple of months, adding one fantastic act after another to the posters and flyers. Chris definitely has a knack for booking great bands, and does so at mind-blowing speed. Updating posters is a pretty easy job, but it can be hard keeping up with him :) Less then a month to go the roster now is full, and it includes an amazing number of acts, some of them personal favourites such as Fatal Smile and John Corabi. September 10th and 11th will be a truly unique event!

But for me personally it gets even better. Not only do I get the honour of doing the graphics for this amazing festival. I get to play at it too. My band Killer Clan of F.U.N. will be opening on the Tube stage on the 10th. It will be pretty cool to be the first band out of the gates and get to kick off this big party. We will put on one hell of a show as usual, I can promise you that. Can’t wait to see you all!
